2nd 9 weeks- physics

motion, momentum

forces and newton’s laws

work, power, and simple machines

forms of energy

nuclear energy

electricity and magnetism

heat

waves, light and sound

 

Supplies needed for class:

Textbook, binder, paper, pencil or pen (blue or black please), and a calculator

It is each student’s responsibility to keep up with his or her textbook.

The replacement fee of this book is $79.95.

Please keep textbooks at home. In class, we will be using the set provided.

 

Grading Policy:

1/3 Test Average

1/3 Quiz Average *Projects and labs will be graded as quizzes

1/3 Daily Average

 

Assessments:

We will be taking an SOL test at the end of the course (first semester will be in January)

 

Important Information:

-Since this is only a semester course, students must be prepared to work at a faster pace than most are used to.

-No late work will be accepted. Homework is to be turned in at the beginning   

  of the class period.

-Any assignment turned in with no name will receive a zero.

-Make up work is to be turned in within 5 days as per the student handbook.   

  Do not place any work to be graded in or around my desk. Please place 

  work in my hand.
